SOCP 362 - Gender and Sexuality Gender and sexuality are organizing principles of society. This course will explore how gender and sexuality are constructed and how these constructions differ across cultures. Much of the course will be framed around how these constructions are used to maintain power through social structures, institutions, and interactions. This course will also examine how race, age, ethnicity, culture, disability, and nation status impact our understanding of gender and sexuality.
