Western Libraries


Western Libraries offers students an array of resources, programs, and services designed to advance student learning and scholarship, including access to primary source materials, workshops, orientations and credit-bearing courses on information literacy and special topics. The Libraries provides 24/7 online access to tutorials, course reserves, e-books, articles and databases, and other video resources. All current WWU students can check out and borrow library materials. The library buildings also offer a variety of study spaces for both collaborative work and quiet study. The Tutoring Center

The Tutoring Center is available in-person or virtually to support an array of courses, primarily the university’s math and science GUR courses. Students can also schedule a study skills appointment related to notetaking, time management, test taking, and more! The Hacherl Research & Writing Studio

The Studio is available to support students during any stage of the research and writing process, including brainstorming assignment ideas, finding and using sources, reviewing essay drafts, and preparing applications. Studio services can be accessed in-person, virtually via chat using “Ask Us” on the Libraries webpage, and draft papers can be submitted online for feedback.
