PHIL 120 - Critical Thinking Critical thinking skills – the ability to ask helpful questions, evaluate complicated arguments, consume information wisely, and disagree productively – are essential to living a thoughtful and fulfilling life. At the heart of these skills is the ability to reason well, no matter what questions we’re wrestling with. In this introductory course, we will read and analyze examples of reasoning in action, with the goal of figuring out what reasoning is, how it works, and how we can do it better.
