SOCP 405 - Professional Development 3 This is the third class in the sequence of professional development courses to assist you in college and beyond. In the first course, you should have explored the resources needed to be successful in college (e.g., reading instruction, study skills, professionalization in the workplace, and an exploration of sociology). In the second course, you should have been exposed to engagement with community partners as professionals (e.g, working with community partners, resume development, internship opportunity exploration, and interview skills training). The third course focuses on preparing you for their post-graduation pathways. Content will include resume tailoring, graduate school and job application materials, online profile development, reference requests, advanced interviewing training, and find positions (paid and internships) they are interested in applying to, and professional career development.
