SOCP 301 - Professional Development 1

This course is designed to help students understand how to apply the sociology degree to employment in a helping profession. This is the first course in a three-course sequence and will focus on providing students with the information and resources needed to be successful in the program. Topics include, but are not limited to, sociological writing and reading instruction, study skills, professionalization in the workplace training, and an exploration of sociology in different career fields.
