ESCI 536 - Invasive Species Ecology and Management

Globally, ecosystems are at risk from a number of anthropogenic stressors. One of the foremost stressors is the spread and establishment of invasive species. Students will apply foundational ecological concepts to examining this emerging global stressor, with consideration of best management practices to control or eradicate invasive species. Each week, students will be exposed to theoretical aspects of invasive species ecology, followed by vignettes on how that theory is applied to management.
