RECR 311 - Peer-Based Outdoor Wellness Mentor Training Students learn to be outdoor wellness peer mentors through exploring evidence-based practices in nature and mental health and theory in helping relationships. Class theory, readings and perspectives will pull from critical pedagogy in ecopsychology, somatic psychology and leadership studies to create a community centered learning environment. Students will gain the necessary skills and knowledge in this course in order to serve as peer mentors in RECR 312.
Prerequisites & Notes: Sophomore status Credits: 3 Grade Mode: S/U
