NURS 551 - Capstone I: Nurse Educator Project

Capstone I: Nurse Educator Project is the first of two capstone courses for students to apply knowledge and skills that empower graduate-level nurse educators to address complex healthcare challenges through evidence-based solutions. This course requires 90 hours of practice experience with a nurse educator preceptor. Students collaborate with stakeholders to identify learning needs, opportunities for improvement, and innovative strategies. The project involves systematically searching for evidence, critically appraising it, and synthesizing findings into recommendations seeking innovative solutions in the education context. Additionally, students develop proficiency in the NLN Core Competencies for Nurse Educators. Students complete the capstone project in Capstone II.
