NURS 543 - Nurse Educator Practice Experience

In this Nurse Educator Practice Experience, students synthesize existing knowledge and skills to enhance the quality of nursing and healthcare delivery. This course requires 30 hours of practice experience with a nurse educator preceptor. Throughout the practice experience, students teach patients, populations, student nurses, or nursing students, guided by a nurse educator preceptor, demonstrating competence in curriculum design, assessment, evaluation, facilitating learning, learner development and socialization, inclusive design, and functioning as change agents within the realm of nursing education. Additionally, students develop proficiency in the core competencies outlined in the NLN Core Competencies for Nurse Educators.
