NURS 555 - Capstone I: Nursing Leadership Project

Capstone I: Nursing Leadership Project is the first of two capstone courses, which are culminating courses designed as an application of leadership knowledge and skills that empower graduate-level nurse leaders to address complex healthcare challenges through evidence-based solutions. This course requires 90 hours of practice experience with a nurse leader preceptor. Through this course, students undertake a comprehensive project, from identifying an issue in healthcare to conducting a systematic search for evidence, critically appraising the evidence, and finally, synthesizing the findings into a recommendation. Students complete the capstone project in Capstone II.
