NURS 522 - Informatics and Healthcare Technology

In this course, students develop a working knowledge of healthcare information systems to describe the potential benefits of these technologies for improving patient care and health outcomes while identifying potential concerns regarding data justice. Students examine information technologies’ impacts on individuals’ healthcare experiences and information acquisition. Students also explore the implications of emerging technologies interfacing with information systems for individuals, particularly from marginalized communities.
