NURS 520 - Systems of Power in Healthcare In this course, students examine the beliefs and values in systems of power that shape nursing practice and education, such as the political, social, environmental, geographic, and economic drivers of health and health equity. Students explore the impact of payment models, regulatory bodies, and political influences on the delivery of healthcare and education and the nurse leader and educator roles. Participatory models of power sharing are introduced.
Prerequisites & Notes: NURS 510 and NURS 511; co-requisite: NURS 521. Credits: 4 Grade Mode: Letter
