NURS 511 - Health Systems Assessment for Health Equity Practice Experience This course is the first of three required foundations Practice Experience courses (NURS 511, 521, and 531) to ground students in the curriculum’s conceptual model of the determinants of health and population health equity. In this course, students apply NURS 510 principles and are required to complete 30 hours of practice experience with a community preceptor. The targeted goal of this course is to explore implementation science leadership at the community/population level by accessing and evaluating population data through a community needs assessment (WAC 246-840-531, 2(a)). The three foundations Practice Experience courses enable students to participate in an aspect of an organizational or population quality assurance project.
Prerequisites & Notes: Admission to the MSN Program; co-requisite: NURS 510. Credits: 1 Grade Mode: S/U
