NURS 512 - Equity-Focused Nursing Scholarship

In this course, students develop nursing scholarship skills within a framework of promoting equity in healthcare, incorporating reflective practice, social justice, and health equity with palliative approaches. Students explore implementation science, applying evidence-based practices with a strong emphasis on health equity, ethical leadership in scholarly activities, and adherence to ethical guidelines in research. Additionally, students explore using quality improvement principles with an equity perspective to prepare them to contribute to a culture of equity and patient safety by evaluating disparities and designing evidence-based interventions.
