SMNR 192 - Extra-Curricular & Community Relations

Investigation of community organizations that are designed to support the lives of vulnerable populations are necessary when seeking positive social justice changes. This seminar course offers students on-hands experiences with Accessibility Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ADEI) practices, through volunteer work with off-campus partners, such as nonprofit organizations in Whatcom County. Students will first meet with on-campus partners and partake in training to build their knowledge on ADEI principles prior to turning their knowledge into best practices.
