SOC 423 - General Linear Modeling in R General Linear Models (GLMs) are widely used in the social sciences to understand the relationship between a wide array of characteristics and outcomes in our social world. By combining simple algebraic transformations with the parsimony and interpretability of the linear regression framework, we can begin modeling complex and non-linear relationships with ease. This class will help students learn to deploy appropriate GLMs in the R programming language and interpret the results, enabling them to better understand a wider range of sociodemographic and economic phenomena.
