MUS 111 - Sight-Reading for Pianists Music majors entering with piano as their major instrument of study are expected to be proficient sight readers and to accompany instrumentalists and vocalists as part of their training. Pianists must be able to pass a sight-reading proficiency exam; if they cannot, this course provides the necessary tools to gain this critical strength. A student will repeat this class until the sight-reading exam is passed. Repeatable to a maximum of 6 credits, including original course.
