UEPP 375 - Indigenous Placemaking: Decolonizing Space and Place Spatial Knowledge encompasses the production of knowledge through land-based practices. Through the course we will investigate the impacts of colonization on spatial practices and the current dominance of settler-colonialism on Indigenous communities and the continuity of Indigenous knowledge systems. We will explore both spatial knowledge across multiple scales of the Land from macro, meso and micro to the rural - urban divide. Also offered as C/AM 375.
