SPED 457 - Students with Disabilities in Inclusive Classrooms Classrooms that successfully include students with disabilities are designed to address the individual needs of all students, whether they have disabilities or not, and to welcome diversity. This class provides an introduction to the characteristics of students with special needs and addresses pertinent federal and state laws and legislation regarding students with disabilities, the rights and responsibilities of educators in providing a free, appropriate public education for all students, curricular and behavior management adaptations and techniques appropriate for inclusive settings.
Prerequisites & Notes: Admission to a Woodring College of Education teacher education major or instructor permission. Credits: 5 Grade Mode: Letter
