MUS 264Q - Pedagogy/Lab: Marching Percussion

Instruction in performance techniques and teaching methods for the contemporary marching percussion ensemble. Classes will include hands-on instruction and drills on a variety of marching techniques to build both individual as well as ensemble technique. The course will also provide essential information covering basic instrument care and maintenance, drum tuning, stick and mallet selection, instrumentation, and rehearsal strategies.
