MATH 345 - Statistics for Engineering

Basic probability, discrete and continuous probability distributions. Descriptive statistics and the use of computer statistical packages. Statistical inference, including 1- and 2-sample hypothesis tests and confidence intervals for means and proportions, paired t test and sample size calculations. Engineering applications are emphasized. Please note: No more than one of MATH 341, MATH 345 and EECE/MATH 346 can be counted for credit.
