ENVS 381 - Introduction to Education for Eco-Social Justice and Sustainability An introduction to education and eco-social justice, surveying current and emerging theory and practice. Explores education, socialization, policy, and activism at intersections of social justice and environment through experience, reading, reflection, discussion and project work. This course uses the concept of “education for eco-social-justice” to highlight the importance of using a social justice lens when considering human-nature relationships in formal and informal education settings.
Prerequisites & Notes: ENVS 303 or concurrent; Admission to College of the Environment or instructor permission. Credits: 4 Grade Mode: Letter
