MUS 442 - Seminar in Musicology


This course is designed to investigate the historical and sociocultural elements of music. Students are expected to engage in weekly readings and listening assignments, seminar-style discussion, and research. The student, in consultation with the instructor, will select a course-related topic for individual research. Ongoing results of this work are shared with other members of the seminar. Seminar topics vary quarterly. Repeatable to a maximum of 16 credits under different topics, including original course.
