HIST 554 - World Environmental History

The organizing theme of this seminar will be that of ‘exchange’ - biological and cultural - of organisms and ideas about what to do with them. By focusing on the problem of the history of ‘exchanges’ of organisms and ideas about the environment around the globe, the seminar will at the same time illuminate other themes in world environmental history.
