Combined major offered by the department of Economics and the department of Accounting, College of Business and Economics.

Introduction
This major is designed for students wishing to obtain a strong preparation in both economics and accounting and especially those who intend to go into careers in business. It is an excellent undergraduate program of study for the MBA. Completion of the CBE foundation courses is required to receive full major status.
Admission and Declaration Process
For students to be considered as an Economics/Accounting Major for pre-major, provisional major, or full major status, students must submit an online application found at http://www.cbe.wwu.edu/College/Applications.asp and meet the following requirements:
- Confirmed admission to WWU and at least 45 credits or be in the CBE Distinguished Scholars program.
- Be in good academic standing with the University and meet GPA requirement with either: 1) a minimum GPA of 2.75 including grades from transfer courses in the foundation courses, or 2) a cumulative GPA of at least 2.50 in all college-level course work including any transfer work.
Grade Requirements
A grade of C- or better is required for a student’s major or minor courses, and supporting courses for majors and minors.
