HIST 508 - Decolonizing India - History, Myth and Meaning

The course is structured to help students think about decolonization using the lens of diasporic history, interconnected histories, African history and Indian history. The process of decolonization in the twentieth century was negotiated by colonial states, former colonial subjects, international organizations and a plethora of non-state actors. In this course we will read theorists and have discussions on them.
