UEPP 405 - Land Use Law and Justice: Planning, Zoning, and Equity in Practice


This course covers the legal and regulatory framework governing land use and urban development. The course focuses on the American legal system and examines the practical implications of federal constitutional restrictions on local government land use authority, including “takings” and discrimination cases. 

Prerequisites & Notes: UEPP 261 or UEPP 270; UEPP 370 or UEPP 343 or concurrent; major status in Environmental Policy, BA or Urban Planning and Sustainable Development, BA or Urban Sustainability, BA; junior status.
