SWP 575 - Advanced Assessment and Diagnosis in Clinical Social Work Practice This course prepares students to conduct comprehensive, ethical, and culturally responsive assessments with individuals and families experiencing mental health and substance use challenges. Students apply biopsychosocial and multidimensional frameworks, utilize the DSM-5-TR, and critically examine diagnostic systems in relation to culture, power, and oppression. Emphasis is placed on clinical reasoning, strengths discovery, collaboration, and developing assessment-informed treatment goals.
Prerequisites & Notes: Admission into the Master of Social Work Program. Credits: 3 Grade Mode: Letter
