SWP 555 - Advanced Social Work Practice with Children and Adolescents This advanced practice course prepares MSW students to critically engage in direct, mezzo, and macro practice with children and adolescents across diverse cultural, social, and systemic contexts. Building on foundation-level practice, the course emphasizes trauma-informed, resilience-based, and anti-oppressive frameworks. Students examine and intervene in the intersecting impacts of race, class, gender, sexuality, immigration, disability, and family structure on children and youth, with a focus on both practice skills and systemic advocacy.
