MUS 468 - Literature for Voices This course explores a variety of Vocal Literature as it directly relates to the development of western standard vocal and choral literature, to present day art songs, through global tradition styles. Students will explore works in several languages and dialects. Students will engage in all forms of vocal works and connect each piece to artistic and pedagogical practices, as it relates to the process of singing. We will explore multiple genres to enhance vocal depth and understanding of topics related to the poetry and text of pieces. Students will learn to create programming for all levels of vocal study, ensembles, and genre appropriate to vocal development.
Prerequisites & Notes: MUS 466D; instructor permission. Credits: 2 Grade Mode: Letter
