THTR 302 - Techniques in Properties Design

This course familiarizes students with a variety of tools and practical approaches to the design and construction of properties; for use in theatrical productions. Focusing on the design and construction of hand props, costume props and non food consumable props, topics include; paper good and distressing techniques, mask making and paper maché, adhesives and basic power tool use and safety, hand and rod puppets and making fake food and beverages for safe stage use. Repeatable to a maximum of 8 credits, including original course.
