ISE 410 - Operations Research This course introduces students to the foundations of OR, emphasizing mathematical modeling, optimization, and decision analysis as applied to real-world problems in manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, and service systems. Topics include linear programming, the simplex method, duality and sensitivity analysis, transportation and assignment models, integer programming, nonlinear programming, queuing theory, simulation, and dynamic programming. Students will learn to construct and validate models, analyze system performance, and apply optimization techniques using both manual methods and computer-based tools such as Microsoft Excel.
