ISE 330 - Design of Experiment

This course introduces the principles, methodologies, and applications of experimental design for engineering and industrial systems. Students will learn how to plan, execute, and analyze experiments that optimize processes, improve quality, and guide data-driven decisions. Topics include analysis of variance (ANOVA), regression models, correlation analysis, factorial and fractional factorial designs, blocking and confounding, non-linear modeling, and response surface methodology. Emphasis is placed on statistical reasoning, experimental strategy, and the use of software tools such as Excel, Minitab, and other analytical programs. Students complete a team-based project in which they design and analyze an experiment addressing an applied industrial or service problem.
