SOC 323 - Sociological Cinema This course is designed to provide students with an introduction to a selection of sociological frameworks and their relation to the social world as reflected in cinematic cultural artifacts. Students will read texts that cover foundational concepts across sub-fields of sociological study and develop frameworks for understanding and analyzing the social world through them. Students will hone their skills in sociological analysis of the social world by watching, discussing, and producing written analysis of sociological phenomenon in film.
Prerequisites & Notes: Any one course from: SOC 221, SOC 234, SOC 251, SOC 255, SOC 260, SOC 268, SOC 269, SOC 271, HNRS 252 or instructor permission. Credits: 3 Grade Mode: Letter
