WGSS 336 - Literature, Gender, and Sexuality This course examines the representation of gender and sexuality in literary texts with an attention to such topics as historical and cultural context, literary history, and genre. Exploring the construction of gender and sexual norms, this course will consider the cultural work of literary texts that construct, endorse, or critique such norms. Student will perform this work through an array of theoretical perspectives and intersecting fields, including feminist theory, queer theory, race, class, and disability.
