HIST 101 - Discovering History This course introduces students to the discipline of history in a seminar setting. It shows how historians create history and provides students with tools to understand how historians work and how to develop a critical perspective. It does not ask students to memorize facts but instead demonstrates that history is not fixed in stone. Topics and themes vary based on the expertise of the professor. It also offers students opportunities to learn various skills that will help them succeed in all their courses at Western.
