ECON 111 - Clean Energy Transitions and Climate Victory

Introduction to economic and policy challenges of addressing climate change by transitioning to widespread use of clean energy – and how these challenges can be addressed. Course topics include tradeoffs between various clean energy transition paths, equity issues in a clean energy transition, anticipating future individual and business decisions when setting environmental policy, impacts of economic growth and capitalism on energy use and climate change, regional impacts of climate policies, and the use of financial markets to address climate change.
