WGSS 350 - Feminist and Queer Methodologies

This course examines feminist and queer methodologies in the social sciences. The class examines the distinct and intersecting areas of feminist and queer research methodologies. By examining a range of interdisciplinary, intersectional, and transnational approaches to conducting queer and feminist research, students will develop both a broad understanding of existing methodologies and a deeper practice of our own research methodologies. This class will encourage students not only to be attentive to issues of gender and/or sexuality, but to also consider the ways other discourses and identities shape knowledge, policies, normative identities, and peoples.
