NURS 305 - Social Justice and Healthcare This course examines the structural, social, and cultural determinants of health and their impact on health inequities among marginalized populations. Students engage with frameworks of cultural humility, structural competency, and equity-oriented care to critically analyze healthcare systems, policies, and practices. Learners will develop skills to design, evaluate, and advocate for interventions that promote justice, equity, and social accountability in nursing practice. Emphasis is placed on interprofessional collaboration, population health approaches, and ethical imperatives that prepare nurses to lead system-level change across diverse spheres of care.
