ENRG 488 - Energy management in organizations


This course covers technology and business strategies to manage and reduce energy use, energy costs and emissions, in the context of a corporate or institutional energy-using organization. We will introduce the fundamental concepts behind electricity, fuel and water usage, metering, billing and management. We will also explore energy procurement, energy and emissions markets, and business strategies for energy savings and cost reduction, and how they are influenced by policy measures.

Prerequisites & Notes: ENRG 384 or ENRG 386 or ECON 384 or ECON 386; ENRG 101 or ENRG 320 or ENRG 380 or ESCI 380; or instructor permission.
