Environmental Education Minor

Introduction

The goal of the environmental education minor is that the student be oriented to the roles of education in social and environmental well-being and equity. The minor equips the student with conceptual foundations, critical perspectives, beginning methods, and an integrative and intensive community learning practicum in environmental justice education.

How to Declare (Admission and Declaration Process):

Some courses in the minor may be restricted to ENVS declared majors and minors.

To declare a minor, set up an appointment with a professional adviser on our Undergraduate Academic Advising webpage, by visiting the College of the Environment Student Support office in Environmental Studies Building 539, or by calling 360-650-3520. 

Grade Requirements

A grade of C- or better is required for a student’s major or minor courses, and supporting courses for majors and minors.

Requirements (27 credits)


Sequencing of courses is important. Take ENVS 303 and ENVS 381 in the Fall. The winter before your Spring Block experience, take ENVS 499B. All three courses must be completed before you can register for Spring Block courses.
