Introduction
This additional endorsement program prepares students to teach designated world language (Chinese, French, German, Japanese, or Spanish) at all levels and must be accompanied by a professional education program and a qualifying endorsement in another content area. See the Elementary Education , Secondary Education , and Education Leadership and Inclusive Teaching sections of this catalog for program admission, completion, and teacher certificate requirements. A passing score on the World Languages WEST-E test, and proficiency in the designated world language assessed by ACTFL oral and written tests at the Advanced-Low level, are required by the state.

Grade Requirements
Courses required for a state teaching endorsement must be completed with a grade of C (2.0) or better. The Department of Modern and Classical Languages requires a GPA of 3.0 in the language coursework.
