Introduction

The goal of the Certificate in Energy and Environment is to give students knowledge and analytic skills in the environmental science, technology and policy aspects of today’s diverse energy systems and industries.

Why Consider an Energy and Environment Certificate?

Demand is increasing for a trained energy workforce in Washington in an emerging clean energy economy, including growing energy efficiency, grid modernization and energy storage industries in the state, and success in this growing field requires an understanding of the analytic tools applied to the science and technology of energy systems, as well as the policy context of energy-related decision making.
