Department of Computer Science, College of Science and Engineering
Cybersecurity issues are pervasive throughout all aspects of life in modern times. The issues are complex and have far ranging consequences such that it has become too important to leave only to technologists. The Cybersecurity certificate provides a means for students from all disciplines to become knowledgeable about the challenges and potential solutions to cybersecurity problems, and to apply cybersecurity principles across all aspects of an organization. The program is open to all students not enrolled in a program in the Computer Science department (CSCI, CISS).
How to Declare (Admission and Declaration Process):
Applicants will submit a request through their major department or directly to the program director. Admission to the certificate is based on available space with first preference given to students in majors with have included the certificate in their program as an option.
A grade of C- or better is required for a student’s certificate courses, and supporting courses for certificates.
