Introduction

This additional endorsement program must be accompanied by the professional preparation program in Secondary Education, and preparation for an English Language Arts or Social Studies endorsement. Professional education program admission, completion, and teacher certification requirements are provided within this Secondary Education section of the catalog.

Secondary Education students who complete the courses below will build on their preparation for an English Language Arts or Social Studies endorsement to earn an additional endorsement in Middle Level Humanities. The Middle Level-Humanities endorsement prepares individuals to teach these core subjects and an integrated language arts/social studies core block classroom in middle and junior high school.
