MATH 101 - Functions and Algebraic Methods for K-8 Teachers Designed for prospective K-8 teachers. Emphasizes pattern recognition and generalization, building mathematical models and problem solving. Supporting topics include polynomials, linear and quadratic equations, inequalities, graphs, rational expressions and functions. Graphing calculators required. Cannot be counted toward majors or minors in mathematics or computer science.
Prerequisites & Notes: suitable Intermediate Math Placement Test score or college intermediate algebra course with a C- or better; instructor permission
