HIST 155 - The Idea of Utopia This course will introduce readers to major utopian writers in the secular and Christian traditions. We will then turn our attention to why, in the twentieth century, we have lost faith in utopia. Throughout, we will probe not only the history of the idea of utopia but how utopian writing can help us improve our own society.
