GEOL 561 - Analytical Geochemistry Applications of analytical chemistry to soil, water and rock samples. Methods include atomic absorption spectrophotometry, ion chromatography, gas chromatography, mass spectrometry and X-ray diffraction. Field collection techniques, sample preparation and data processing also are discussed. Course consists of two hours of lecture and two hours of lab per week.
