NURS 412 - Health Policy, Advocacy & Leadership This course prepares students to critically engage in health policy and systems leadership at state and federal levels. Students will gain knowledge of the legislative process, track and analyze bills, and apply evidence to the development and refinement of policy briefs. The course emphasizes the fiscal, ethical, and equity dimensions of policy design and implementation and explores the impact of policy on both individual and population health outcomes. Focus is placed on the role of nurses as policy advocates and system-level leaders who advance health equity and influence transformational change within healthcare systems.
Prerequisites & Notes: Co-requisite: NURS 413; Admission to the RN-to-BSN program or instructor permission. Credits: 5 Grade Mode: Letter GUR Attributes: SSC
