CSCI 582 - Computational Neuroscience Students will learn the basics of how neurons in real brains are modeled at varying scales and levels of biophysical detail. Topics include connections between biological and artificial neural networks, brain-machine interfaces, and learning in networks. We will focus on implementing these models and analysis of real datasets, including a final project applying an advanced model or analysis technique. No previous neuroscience experience is required, but students should be familiar with the Python programming language.
Prerequisites & Notes: CSCI 241 and MATH 204, or instructor permission. Credits: 4 Grade Mode: Letter
